As humans expand our areas of operation more and more land is taken away from wild animals. It is therefore inevitable that they will pushed out from their natural home ranges and come into conflict with mankind on an increasing basis. Daily orphaned, injured or misplaced wild animals need our help. SanWild’s Wildlife Response Unit has been established to build up a network of caring individuals that can set up to the challenge to respond to and assist wild animals in need. By means of a network of participating WildKind vets and members of the public that will act as a panic button for injured or orphaned animals, many animals have been saved and returned to the wild successfully. As a South African member of the public you can help that injured or orphaned animal that you had found or seen. It is simple; just pick up the telephone and phone or 24-hour emergency response line on +27 (0)83 310 3882 or our offices on +27 (0)15 318 7900/1. You can also email us on rescue@sanwild.org simply by asking for our help that is supplied to ALL wildlife absolutely FREE OF CHARGE, you too can become the RightKind for WildlKind. However in order for us to expand our areas of operation, it is essential that SanWild also receives support and help for the international community. For many years international and local donors have supported our cause and without their help it simply would not be possible for SanWild to continue and grow as a wildlife rehabilitation centre and sanctuary.
