For SanWild to further its work in the field of wildlife rescue and rehabilitation we are setting our sights on signing up 500 members by December 2010. Having a regular monthly income is crucial to our core business which is saving wild animals in desperate need of assistance and will help us to expand our areas of operation.

By joining us YOU too can become the RightKind for WildKind.

Please note that you have to become a member of the gang to qualify for BUSH BUDDY accommodation discounts offered from time to time at both Savannah’s and Bukisa’s Camps in the heart of the SanWild Wildlife Sanctuary.

As with most charitable organisations we are totally reliant on donor funding. Rather than continuously appealing for funding we invite you to become a SanWild member. This is the best way for us to raise sufficient and regular funding for our emergency rescues and veterinary costs. SanWild members are a very special group of people that have proved over the years to be totally committed and willing to go the extra mile for wild animals in need. This ongoing support is crucial in helping SanWild help the animals.

In return for your membership, we have developed some very special packages. Each package is designed to suit your individual requirements and each and every program is vital to the survival of injured, orphaned or traumatized wildlife. SanWild's vision remains undeterred; - we wish to provide protection for our rehabilitated animals that may otherwise be exploited either through illegal trade, canned hunting or sold into captivity. If you love wildlife, please consider the benefits of becoming a SanWild member; we could not continue to provide the best care for wildlife without our members' support.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES;

SOUTH AFRICAN MEMBERSHIP R150.00 per month for 12 months:


Your donation will help us to either:
  • Purchase a bottle of antibiotics most generally needed for the treatment of most injured mammals, reptiles or birds.
  • Purchase milk formula sufficient to raise 3 baby tree squirrels, 3 baby Suricates or 3 banded mongoose pups or a jackal pup for a month.
  • Help feed Happy - a cow that supplies milk to raise orphaned baby antelope at the rehab centre.
  • Pay for a monthly nature conservation permit to relocate and save an animal's life.
For joining our circle of local and international friends you will receive the following:

BRONZE MEMBERSHIP $20 per month for 12 months:


Your monthly donation will assist us in the operation of the emergency rescue unit, rehab centre and sanctuary. As a bronze member you will receive:
  • An informative bi-monthly newsletter via email. This newsletter will keep you abreast of any new developments at SanWild including in-depth stories of the animals and recent rescues.
  • A beautiful personalised membership certificate.

SILVER MEMBERSHIP $40 per month for 12 months:


Your monthly donation will assist us with emergency rescues, veterinary assistance and to provide food to the smaller mammals and birds within the clinic such as baby barn-and-marsh owls, genets, caracals, birds, tortoises, mongoose and others.

Your package will also include:

  • A personalised membership certificate.
  • A SanWild mouse-pad so you can keep you favourite animals close to your side throughout your working day.

GOLD MEMBERSHIP $100 per month for 12 months:


Gold members will have a significant impact on the running of the sanctuary and will specifically help with the running costs for the smaller wild herbivore species such as zebra foals, blue wildebeest calves, baby rhinos and others that will require prolonged hand raising and a specialized rehabilitation program. Your assistance will help us in a great way to offset the high costs associated with the hand raising and rehabilitation of species that have complicated social structures and only wean at a much later stage than other wildlife. Most of them will require specific medical attention and have special dietary requirements.

As a gold member you will receive:

  • A personalized membership certificate.
  • A SanWild mouse-pad so you can keep you favourite animals close to your side throughout your working day.
  • A 12-month gift subscription of Africa Geographic Magazine.

PLATINUM MEMBERSHIP: $200 per month for 12 months:


Participation at this level will make a huge impact on the running costs of the sanctuary as well as providing our rehabilitation clinic with much needed veterinary funds for emergency rescues. Your donation will be vital to many injured or maimed animals. This level of membership will also assist SanWild in the massive upkeep of all 17 lions here whose feeding is a costly operation. As a VIP guest and top member you will receive:
  • Our electronic newsletters.
  • A personalized membership certificate.
  • A SanWild mouse-pad so you can keep you favourite animals close to your side throughout your working day.
  • A 12-month gift subscription of Africa Geographic Magazine.
  • A stunning print on canvass of a SanWild animal of your choice that can be mounted for your home or office.

TITANIUM MEMBERSHIP: $1000 per month for 12 months:


Membership at this level will be used exclusively for the needs of the SanWild lions. Rescued from canned hunting, these lions desperately need a sustained monthly income to ensure that the SanWild Wildlife Trust can meet the huge financial responsibility that goes with feeding and caring for them. They live in large natural habitat enclosures with the other members of their pride and are given quality food and veterinary care when needed. The Titanium membership option will give you the following:
  • Our electronic newsletters.
  • A personalized membership certificate.
  • A SanWild mouse-pad so you can keep you favourite animals close to your side throughout your working day.
  • A 12-month gift subscription of Africa Geographic Magazine.
  • A 12-month gift subscription of Animal Talk Magazine.
  • A week's free accommodation* every year for the member at the exclusive Savannah Private Bush Camp situated in the SanWild Wildlife Sanctuary while their yearly subscription is maintained. This free option may be transferred to a friend, family member or business associate. Credit points earned throughout the year can be exchanged for a week's free accommodation for a friend or business association.
  • *Accommodation may only be taken up once the full 12-month subscription has been paid up.

Should you choose to join as a SanWild Member please register below if you have not already done so. A password will be emailed to you, which you can change if you choose once you have logged in. The login option can also be found at the top right hand corner of the website.

Once you are logged in choose "Become a Member" from the menu on the left. Select your desired Membership Level at the bottom of the page. Complete the Credit Card Form and "Confirm".
