One of 2 vervets dropped off at the centre.
Tom is Jerry's dear friend and also his security. The 2 very small vervets that were dropped off at the centre when they were no longer wanted by a couple whose kids possibly obtained the two baby vervets as pets when their mothers were shot deliberately to catch the babies. Tom and Jerry is inseparable and Jerry clings to Tom like his Siamese twin at the 1st sign of anything he might perceive as danger. Tom is Jerry's security and without the slightly older vervet, Jerry would be a nervous wreck. Both vervets were severely traumatised on arrival and their body language and behaviour proved this beyond a doubt. They are still battling to come to terms with what happened to them. However we are trying our best to raise them as well-adjusted vervets, but it will most certainly take time!
