Injured vervet monkey.
Young Poacher was found on a nearby cattle and game farm after he was attacked and savaged by poachers' dogs. As a result he was named "Poacher". Fortunately the land owner who has chasing the poachers saw the incident happen and he cared enough to pick up the injured young vervet that had been dropped by his mother and took him to the vet for treatment. The veterinarian recommended that they had the young vervet to SanWild for treatment and eventual release. Poacher has been successfully integrated into the new troop and is doing extremely well.
