SanWild has an amazing bush camp and we welcome guests
to the reserve to meet rescued animals and see how well
they have adjusted back to a life in the wild.
When guests stay in the Savannah Private Bush Camp we
invite them to submit entries to our guest book.
Here you will be able to read about their experiences
and daily sightings.

FANTASTIC FANTASTIC,Ellen and Gary are the perfect hosts, with their help I had the most relaxing 6 days. Gary's knowledge of the animals and the land is educational and entertaining. Ellen and her ladies in the kitchen provided a menu that was divine, healthy and varied. Most enjoyable experience all round thank you all.

On my recent visit to SanWild I met Kariba - a hand raised giraffe and immediately fell in love with this kind creature. Her eye lashes are just amazing and I so enjoyed being up close and personal with her. Having stumbled upon SanWild on the internet I am delighted that we chose to spend a couple of days here. Not even in the Kruger Park did we have the opportunity to see the wide range of animal species on our game drives as we saw in this reserve. It is as if the animals seek out human company and I have some great pictures to take home and cherish my experiences. Thanks to the staff, the food is great and so is the company. Hugs and kisses to your caracal boy; he is so charming and beautiful.

Who would have thought that the most dangerous animal on the African continent would like its belly scratched? My family was privileged to meet two very special hippos - Tonga and Aldo! What amazing creatures; and to hear what they had to endure in life before they arrived at this sanctuary is just mind blowing. Well done to the French authorities and SanWild; you have showed is how special hippos can be and how man and animal can coexist side by side – appreciative of each other’s needs. Seeing them enjoying the mild winter sun is such a pleasure. Our world would be much worse off without people like you; we had a great time, thank you. We will definitely be back real soon.

Lizel, I hope you and Louise were both pleased with the coverage we gave SanWild. We will continue to mention the incredible work that is being done there throughout the remainder of our trek. We leave for Southeast Asia tomorrow and will be there for two months and then on to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji before returning to the States in late September. Please let me know if I can personally contact anyone on behalf of SanWild in any of those locations.
We will definitely return to SanWild in the future. Of all of the places we've been (including four months last year in Central and South America) it is still our favorite place and one that will always have a special place in our hearts.
