SanWild has an amazing bush camp and we welcome guests to the reserve to meet rescued animals and see how well they have adjusted back to a life in the wild.  When guests stay in the Savannah Private Bush Camp we invite them to submit entries to our guest book.  Here you will be able to read about their experiences and daily sightings.

Humane Society International

We have been priviledged to have Verna Simpson, director of the Humane Society International, her daughter and a photographer visiting SanWild for a week. It is an absolute pleasure to have them around and we will be sorrow to see her leave again this weekend.

Hi SanWild team

Hi Sanwild Team

Thank you once again for all the effort and sacrifices that you made to save our wild life. It was an absolute pleasure to meet with you the weekend and I can only compliment all of you making us feel so special.

Attached, please find payment advice for another donation – I trust that this will contribute a bit more to the sanctuary and we will meet soon.

Kind Regards

Thank you seems inadequate

Thank you seems very inadequate, but it's the best the English
language has to offer. Catrell, Morgan, Zach, Harrison and I are
extremely grateful for giving us the opportunity to stay at SanWild.

Being able to experience SanWild as a family made it even more
enjoyable, as our individual and collective memories will last a
lifetime. Helping to move the lions will forever be one of the
highlights of our lives, guaranteed.

We will return in the future either individually, as a couple, perhaps as a family or with new families that will develop in the years to come — only time will tell. Regardless, I know future visits will be as memorable as our first time.

I will continue posting more blogs and making people aware of the
great work you do. Please let me know if there is anything specific
you would like me to write about and/or do for you as we continue our travels.

Please say hi to Andre for us. Unfortunately we did not see him
before we left.

Again, thank you! SanWild and the wonderful people we met will always have a special place in our hearts.

Cooney World Adventure

Greetings from the African Bush,

We arrived at SanWild Wildlife Sanctuary on Friday. Out of all of our travels (including Central and South America), this has been the most amazing experience to date. Although the pictures help tell the story, they do not do the Sanctuary, the animals or the dedicated
people justice.

Please take a few minutes to read some of the most recent postings at www.cooneyworldadventure.com
,especially the blog about the lions and SanWild's efforts to save
them.

Stay tuned for more updates. We will post as often as we can.

All the best,

Mike

Fearless Mike and the bats

We have had some really big storms which woke everyone up, they seem to go on for hours, we lost all electric a couple of times.

Andre did a great job in tracking the elephants the first time we went, you could hear the crashing and breaking of branches before you could see them. It was awesome to watch these huge animals cross in front of the car; it certainly gets the heart pumping very fast. Since that sighting the elephants have been hiding very well or maybe on vacation! We drove right up on the mountain and the views were out of this world.

We have spotted many large insects, which we have all had great fun with taking pics.

Andre took us to the mines yesterday, which everyone really enjoyed including Mike who really hates birds and this mine was full of bats but he beat his fear and came out a new man, fearless Mike!

We’ve also seen the rhinos and got to meet Boytjie the young rhino along with his good friend the bush pig.

It has been lovely to relax around camp and enjoy the pool, the kids have all had a great time, it’s nearly time for us to leave now and we’re all going to miss SanWild like mad.

We had the pleasure of spending our time with Yolandie whom is a great person and also an excellent cook, we will miss her very much and we have decided to adopt Yolandie.

Thanks Louise and Andre for such a great time, we’ll be back!
